Established in 1922, San Mateo Colleges of Silicon Valley consists of 3 colleges: Skyline College, College of San Mateo and Cañada College, locating between San Francisco and Silicon Valley. The colleges offer the first two years of college-level instruction in a wide variety of transfer programs as well as career-technical programs to nearly 30,000 students annually. Skyline College (SC)

SC is situated on a 111-acre site, just west of Skyline Boulevard in San Bruno, California in the San Francisco Bay Area. SC aims to prepare students for transfer to a four-year university or to directly enter the workforce. The Associate Degrees for Transfers at SC offers a streamlined pathway and guaranteed admission with the California State University system.

College of San Mateo (CSM)

CSM is located at the northern corridor of Silicon Valley. Situated on a beautiful 153-acre site in the San Mateo hills, provides a panoramic view of San Francisco Bay. CSM is surrounded by high tech industry giants, including Reddit, Instagram, Twitter, Zynga, Genentech, Oracle, Apple, Google, HP and Facebook.

Cañada College (CC)

CC is located in Redwood City, California between the vibrant city of San Francisco and the high-tech city of San Jose. CC offers a wide range of associate degree programs majors that allow students to transfer to 4-year universities including University of California, California State University and other California and out-of-state private universities.

Some majors are offered in all 3 colleges (e.g. Accounting, Business Management, Computer Science, Engineering, Psychology etc.) but some majors are only offered in particular colleges (e.g. Biotechnology, Hospitality Management and Journalism in SC; Architecture in CSM; Fashion Design, Interior Design and Theater Arts in CC)
