US education institutions offer different types of accommodation for international students subject to the setting of the institutions, location, student age and budget.

Student Residence

Majority of US education institutions offer student residence for international students. Students live together with other students from different countries.  They can improve their social skills, team-working skills and self-confidence through participation of various student activities. In addition, it also helps students to develop self-discipline and independence.

Homestay

Some education institutions arrange international students to live with a local family. Students will have their own bedroom and meals together with the host family. Through the daily communication and participation of family activities, student’s English communication skills can be improved quickly. Homestay is a great way for international students to improve English as well as to immerse in American culture and living style.

Rental Accommodation

Adult students (18+) can choose to live independently or share house with friends. Rental information is often available at Accommodation Office of US education institution.
