UK Guardian Service

Under the Children Acts 1980 & 1989 of UK and the laws of Ireland, any students age 16 or below and study in UK for more than 12 weeks are required to have a legal guardian in UK. They look after student's studies, activities, health and life on behalf of student's parents in UK. All the UK guardians are chosen strictly. Visits will be conducted to ensure that living conditions and safety are up to standard.


Conditions of being a Guardian:

  • Be age over 25

  • British passport holders and residing in UK

  • Has a permanent UK address (non-students)

  • Fluent in English

  • No criminal records, no bad habbies, and no serious illnesses

  • Able to provide accommodation for students during school holidays


Guardian Services:

  • 24-hour emergency contact

  • Keep close contact with school, teachers and parents

  • Keep close contact with student and assist with daily issues

  • Report to parents of student's academic progress

  • Attend parents' meetings and school events on behalf of parents

  • Monitor student's out of school activities

  • Assist with travel and airport transfers arrangement

  • Arrange homestay accommodation for student during term break (if necessary)

  • Safekeep and monitor student's personal expenses

  • Assist with onshore student visa renewal

  • Make decision on behalf of student as a minor

  • Take care of student's health issues
