Located in Toronto, Rotman Arts and Science School (RASS) was founded in 2004. RASS combines academic education with professional arts training whereas the academic courses are taught concurrently with arts courses of students’ choice: ballet, music, vocal or visual arts. RASS is one of the few schools in Canada that grants students both the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) and the Artist of the Ballet Diploma. Music students in RASS take part in numerous annual recitals and music festivals. They are prepared to take the Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) exams.

RASS offers opportunities for students to develop their interest in arts, Athletics, Puzzles, Games, Science and other outdoor activities through the After School Program. The acquired skills form a solid foundation for students’ future learning and growth. RASS also organizes numerous field trips every semester to enable students to apply knowledge into actual scenarios in the most practical way.

The low 11:1 student-teacher ratio allows RASS teachers to dedicate their time and attention to each student’s specific learning needs. Under a strong academic and support program in RASS, 100% of graduates are accepted by universities and colleges.

RASS runs its own Homestay Program for international students whereas all the host families are RASS student families. Homestay students are closely supervised by host parents. Transportation to and from school is also included in the Homestay Program for international students.
