Founded in 1962, Rio Lindo Adventist Academy is a Christian coeducational boarding high school, 70 miles north of San Francisco, in California. The beautiful school campus is set on a 360-acre greenery land which provides students a good environment to learn and live in a safe, scenic and natural setting.

 

Emphasis on “whole person” education, Rio teaches students balance and responsibility, care for others and our world, physical health, and cultivate mental/emotional awareness. Academically, Rio provides an enriched, college preparatory curriculum with numerous elective classes, allowing students to pursue a wide variety of interests.

 

Rio’s teachers are highly experienced and qualified of which 85% of them have advanced degrees in their fields of teaching. Students is able to receive individual attention from teachers with an average of 12-15 students in a class. Students are nurtured to become an imaginative, independent and analytical thinker.

 

Rio’s campus is filled with leadership opportunities. Students can serve other students as an officer of the Student Association; or leading a worship music group; or offer help, support and Bible studies to students as the Residents Assistants in the dorms; or leading each other students in sports on the fields. Rio’s students come from diverse backgrounds. They work, study, worship and socialize together and form the life-long friendship in a school-family atmosphere.
