Founded in 2013, Canada Star Secondary School (CSSS) offers small and personalized classes which enable every student plenty of opportunities to shine. The goal at CSSS is to develop students into global leaders and teach them the knowledge that will be beneficial perpetually. The four cornerstones of education – intercultural thinking, international perspective, lifelong development, and happiness – are ideals that are reflected in the school’s motto: “Confidence, Persistence, Passion, Inclusiveness.”

Why Canada Star Secondary School

  • Quality Education: In order to ensure the quality of learning, the school offers after-school tutoring every day. With a thorough and effective learning system and personalized university plans for students, CSSS develops individuals to become qualified candidates and new leaders of the society.

  • Small Class Size: An average of 10-15 students in a class enables better interaction between teacher and students. All teachers are BC certified and have many years of teaching experience. Through high-quality classroom instruction and intensive academic exercises, students are able to develop a solid foundation, to master academic skills and to achieve excellent results on provincial standardized assessments.

  • Student Services: CSSS provides great support for international students such as homestay and guardian service, airport collection service, Academic Preparation Program, and Top University Bridge Program.

  • Location: The school campus is in the city of Richmond in Metro Vancouver. It provides students with all the opportunities of a large city but in a safe and quiet community. This is a great place for international students to learn English and develop an understanding of Canadian culture.

  • Student Clubs: CSSS encourages students to follow their passions and interests. Each semester, students collaborate with faculty in order to organize student-led clubs, including Physical Education & Sports Clubs, Leadership Programs, Community Service & Volunteering, and Academic Competitions.
