Ranked as the 5^th largest public school district in British Columbia, Richmond School District provides International Student Program through its 10 secondary schools and 37 elementary schools.  International students whose mother tongue are not English are given an English Language Learning (ELL) assessment before starting classes in Canadian school.  The number of ELL classes and recommended regular courses is subject to student’s English level.

International students are arranged to stay with a Canadian family while studying in Richmond public schools.  Richmond School District has its in house Homestay Department to ensure families are carefully selected. Homestay includes:
